Edit a Dashboard

You can edit a dashboard in the following ways:

Add Metrics

To add a metric, you can  either click “Find Metrics” on the left sidebar OR access your dashboard from your dashboards module > click the three dots in the upper right corner > and click “Add Metric.” Both options take you to the same landing page.

From there, you can design your metric and save it to your dashboard.

Edit/Update Existing Metrics

If you would like to update a metric (i.e. change chart type, etc.) , you can do so by clicking into the dashboard containing the metric you would like to edit.

When you are in the dashboard, you can edit the metric by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of the metric you would like to edit > Edit Metric.

Once you have clicked in to edit your metric, you can add filters, change the presentation of your data, and more.

Rearrange Order of Metrics

To rearrange the order of metrics, simply hover your mouse over the metric you would like to move, click on the “plus sign” made of outward-facing arrows and drag the metric to where you would like it to be.

  3. Update your title by typing directly into the text box.
  4. Click "save" to save your changes.
    1. You can click "Cancel" to discard your changes.

Apply a Filter to Your Dashboard

By default, your dashboards will be pulling in unfiltered data from your source system(s). Sometimes leadership teams like to filter by department, manager, gender, and more to view data trends in a certain population. To apply a filter:

  1. Access the dashboard you would like to add the filter to from your dashboards module.
  2. In the upper right corner of your dashboard, click on the filter box.
  3. This will bring up a full list of fields you can filter through. You can select multiple checkboxes (i.e. tenure: 1-2 years and gender: male) to see the data trends for a specific population.
  4. Once you have applied the filter, click save.
  5. This filter will remain on the dashboard and can only be changed by Admin and Analyst access levels. Dashboard viewers will see the updated filter, but they will be unable to change it.
