Time Series Metrics: Line Graphs

Tracking data over time helps identify trends. This is helpful when you have KPIs/goals to increase or decrease certain trends.

Once you have selected the metric you would like to view by time, you can then choose the increment.

Some examples of tracking over time include:

  • Headcount: Visualizing headcount over time shows you how your organization's headcount is trending. You can filter this down further to address DEI initiatives and look at how your efforts have increased or decreased certain employee populations in your organization.
    • Tip: You can utilize "Add Comparison" to view your departure data on the same metric.
  • Turnover: Turnover in a time series shows you the trend of employees leaving your organization. A helpful way to dive further into this data is by looking at voluntary vs. involuntary turnover over time.
    • Tip: To change the filters on your metric, simply click into the boxes that are highlighted in green in the image above.
  • Hires: Visualizing your new hires over time is a great way to track your progress on how many new employees are joining your organization.
