Single Value Metric

Looking at data as a single value gives you a numeric value as of a certain date. Examples:

  • Headcount: This will show your total number of employees as a numeric value. This value can be filtered to show the headcount of a specific population as well (i.e. headcount of your entire organization vs. headcount of part-time employees).
    • To filter the count to specific populations, you can click into the "All" and choose the appropriate filters.
  • YTD Hires: This metric shows you how many hires you have had, year-to-date. This is a quick way to track how you are hiring against your hiring goals.
    • Tip: The auto-select date option allows you to quickly set the YTD range without manually selecting dates.
  • YTD Departures: This metric allows you to quickly view how many employees have left your organization. Having this metric with YTD Hires as a side-by-side helps to tell a data story of the inflow and outflow of your employees.
  • Total Salary: This metric can allow you to view your current spend on employees' salaries and give critical information for workforce planning.
    • Tip: You can change the currency if needed by clicking into the second line of the metric (highlighted in the above image).
